Buchrezension: Peter Grant - Ein Leben für Led Zeppelin by Mark Blake
Peter Grant wurde am 05. April 1935 in London geboren. Er war neben seiner Tätigkeit bei Led Zeppelin u. a. Entertainer, Schauspieler, Türsteher, Produzent uvm.
1963 heuerte Don Arden (Vater von Sharon Osbourne) Peter Grant als Tourmanager für diverse Bands an. Bereits 1964 managte er dann eigene Events.
Die 60-er und 70-er Jahre wurden für ihn ein Durchbruch, erst sollte er die Yardbirds managen und dann gleich die größte Rockband der Welt - LED ZEPPELIN.
1980 nach John Bonham`s (Led Zeppelin) Tod zog sich Peter Grant dann aus der Szene zurück. 1995 starb er dann auf Grund eines Herzinfarktes.
Fazit: Mark Blake hat spannendes und atemberaubendes Buch über einen sehr mysteriösen Mann geschrieben - Leicht und flüssig zu lesen, jedoch leider ohne Bildermaterial. Für alle Led Zep Fans ein großartiges Buch und vielleicht für die/den ein oder die/den anderen ein super Weihnachtsgeschenk. Klare Empfehlung.

Introducing Leftover Bullets - welcome to the team
Leftover Bullets
The Hard Rockers from Thessaloniki have been presenting to us their proposal carrying with them dirt, vagrancy and wildness since the summer of '13. Inspired by the music and the attitude of the hard n heavy decade 85-95 they shoot with their “Leftover Bullets” to kill in our decade.
THE NAME
The 5 member band came together when a wave of young people started leaving Greece. According to them “We were looking at our friends leaving one after another and us left behind. But we are bullets..”
THE MUSIC
An electrified field stepping on Hard Rock, close to Heavy whilst playing with Punk played with Plug and Play leaving out all sound effects.
THE LYRICS
Clearly angry with everything going on but not avoiding to dig deep in the feelings with a hint of philosophy.
THE HISTORY
During the summer of '15, they recorded their very first song “80’s Child” together with a lyric video which came to knowledge of Miltos Karatzas and his company FINAL TOUCH – THE LABEL. This lead to a 2 year contract. The song “80’s Child” was released on May'16, through the company as the first single of their debut album “Virtue & Vice” which released on November 30 together with the second single “While I’m on the round” with a video clip. "Might be miles way" was another song from the album that became their second video clip wich was released in January '17 and the third and fourth ones were published the same year under the titles "Virgin Queen" and "Feeding the Flame". The summer of '18 found the band in the studio preparing their second album, while they are in search of a new label. In December '18, "Confused" was released as the first video clip of their upcoming album. Through their 5 years of existence they count numerous appearances mostly in Thessaloniki, Athens, some participations in festivals and exclusive gigs. Besides the Bass player who was added to the band on March 2016, the last addition was the rythm guitarist who joined in on summer of '18. All the rest members have been together since the very beginning – exception is the drummer who replaced the first one before the band took its final form.

Wir bedanken uns bei allen Besuchern die am Sonntag mit uns Kryptos, Vicious Rumors, Sacral Rage und Face Down Hero gefeiert haben. Unsere indischen Freunde kehren bestimmt im nächsten Jahr zurück. ;-)
In das Konzert: Vicious Rumors - Kryptos - Sacral Rage, FaceDownHero, Skullwinx wurden insgesamt 106 (!!!) Arbeitsstunden eingebracht. Ihr habt Lust auch einmal Teil einer Veranstaltung zu sein?
Unser Verein sucht Mitglieder: z.B. in den Arbeitsbereichen: Organisation, Internetwerbung, Printwerbung, Einlass/Security,Catering, Fahrdienste, Bandbetreuung, Homepage, Tontechnik und vielen anderen Bereichen...
