Power Theory are pleased to announce the addition of super talented guitarist Nygil Hoch. Nygil is from the Philadelphia area and most recently attended the prestigious Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA.

"Nygil has already cut a solo for a new track to soon be released a single and will be back in the studio with Matt DiFabio and myself on Friday 5/10/13 for more solo recording"  according to BB. " I am completely blown away by Nygil's talent, we both have the same influences as players like Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, and Adrian Smith, and the dynamics of his playing meshing into Power Theory's new material, along with my playing, is epic for us" added BB. Nygil will be dual lead/rhythm but the intent is for him to handle a majority of the lead guitar work, and immediate plans are recording the single and shooting a video, completing the record of the new album "Driven by Fear", playing Warriors of Metal Festival June 29th in Ohio, and a fall U.S. tour with Vicious Rumors, Leather Wolf, and Seven Witches in October.

Power Theory geben neuen Gitarristen bekannt (Deutsche Version) 

Power Theory sind erfreut den talentierten Gitarristen Nygil Hoch als ihren neuen Neuzugang bekannt geben zu dürfen. Nygil stammt aus der Gegend Philadelphia und besuchte zuletzt das angesehene Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA.
Laut BB hat Nygil bereits ein Solo für einen Song geschnitten welcher bald als Single veröffentlicht wird. Am Freitag den 10.05.2013 kehren sie zusammen mit Matt DiFabio und BB ins Studio zurück. O-Ton BB: Ich bin total überwältigt von Nygils Talent. Wir haben beide dieselben Einflüsse wie die folgenden Gitarristen: Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker und Adrian Smith. Die Dynamik von Nygils Gitarrenspiel passt mit meinem Gitarrenspiel sehr gut zum neuen und für uns epischen Power Theory Material zusammen fügt BB noch hinzu. Nygil wird zweigleisig arbeiten sprich Lead und Rhythmusgitarre spiele. Jedoch ist angedacht, dass er den Großteil der Leadgitare übernimmt. Die sofortigen Pläne sind das Aufnehmen der Single, der Videodreh, das Fertigstellen des neuen Albums "Driven By Fear", der Auftritt auf dem Warriors of Metal Festival am 29. Juni 2013 in Ohio USA und im Oktober die US-Herbsttour mit Vicious Rumors, Leather Wolf und Seven Witches.

Metal guitar legend Chris Poland (ex Megadeth / OHM) has contributed a guest guitar solo to the new album Belt Buckles and Brass Knuckles, from popular Nashville based rock band Moccasin Creek.  Poland plays lead on the hard driving track “Only Warning,” which is scheduled to be one of the singles off the album.

Moccasin Creek have taken the rock underground by storm, releasing three full length albums in less than two years.  The band has close ties to the heavy metal world, with previous albums having guest appearances from Glen Alvelais (Testament / Forbidden) and Tom Klimchuck (Pro-Pain), and Klimchuck handling mixing duties for all Moccasin Creek recordings.

Moccasin Creek guitarist Charlie Bonnet III spent many years as part of the Tennessee based metal band Disarray, and now serves as co-manager for the career of metal legend Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza (Exodus / Hatriot).  Belt Buckles and Brass Knuckles is available now on iTunes.

Do you have a self-defeating mindset that relentlessly invades your mind and prevents you from feeling your best? Do have a recurring negative thought that wars against every effort you make to keep up the disciplines needed to achieve your goals?

We all experience this warfare of the mind, and if you’re going seriously change your life, and achieve your goals, you’re going to have to get serious about defeating these negative mindsets.


Reject and Replace Negative Thoughts


Here’s a simple way to destroy these negative, self-defeating habits of thought and replace them with new ways of thinking that will immediately change the way you feel and transform your overall outlook.

Step #1 - Write out on a piece of paper each negative thought or mindset. For example, if you believe you’ll never be self-disciplined enough to achieve your goals, then simply write, “I believe that I’ll never be self-disciplined enough to achieve my goals.”

Step #2 - Below each negative mindset on your list, write a positive, truthful response such as, “I reject that negative thought. I have as much ability as anyone else to be self-disciplined, and I will do what’s needed to achieve my goals. I refuse to accept anything less.”


Step #3 - Create a “note” featuring your written response on your smart phone or computer, so it’s easily accessible.

Step #4 - Whenever that negative thought appears in your mind, simply read out loud your response to yourself 3-5 times. This should take less than a minute. Do this every time the negative thought appears.

You’ll probably be doing this a lot in the beginning, but soon you’ll notice your old mentality weakening while your new mentality fortifies itself. If you want to increase the impact on your psyche, just add an action step towards your goal that you’ll do that day.

How to Feel Better About Your Life


It’s Metal Monday!


Let’s face it. People gripe about Mondays because they don’t like what’s coming. They’re at a job they hate. They’re in school. Or they’re a stressed housewife dealing with a bunch of kids that are out of control. Monday, to them, represents the first of several days of more of the same.


What they don’t realize is that their experience is determined by the way they think, and the way they think is determined by one thing: INTERPRETATION.


The way you perceive something determines how you feel


What is interpretation? Interpretation is the way you perceive, or understand, something. For example, two people spend the day at an amusement park. One of them is terrified of roller coasters and the other loves them. When they see the roller coaster for the first time, the one who dreads it experiences an increase in heart rate due to fear and starts releasing harmful adrenalin to help deal with the stress.


The one who loves roller coasters gets excited. Their heart rate also increases, but it’s not harmful. Soon, once they get on the ride, the lover of roller coasters will release endorphines (a form of morphine) which create euphoria.


What do you “see” when you look at your life?


What’s the difference between these two people? It’s the same roller coaster, right? They’ll both travel at the same speed. They’ll both feel the same jerking and lifting out of the seat, but they’ll each have a completely different experience. For one, it will be fear. For the other, it will be so good they’ll want to get right back on.


The difference is found in their interpretation of the roller coaster. For one, the roller coaster is an object representing fun. To the other, the roller coaster is an object representing fear. Yet, it’s the exact same roller coaster they both see.


Now, just apply this to your entire life. When you see your kids, do you see stress and work while someone sees the opposite? When you look at your work week, do you dread the next 5-6 days because a boss, co-workers, or the type of work you’ll have to do? When you see your school, do you see nothing but taking a bunch of classes that bore you to tears?


Your change is up to you!


However you see, or interpret, each area of your life—including yourself—is going to determine how you feel. Therefore, a lot of your sadness, stress, or anger is affected by the way you interpret yourself and your circumstances.


This is good news and bad news. The bad news is that it’s not easy to change the way you interpret your life. The good news is that at least it’s up to you.


Here are some ways to start changing your thinking:

List the areas of your life that you feel the most negative about.
Write out how each one can be interpreted positively.
Spend time each day when you awake and go to sleep to meditate on these positive interpretations.
If you do this consistently, you’ll notice your attitude changing over the next 14 days. If you keep it up, and add actions to your thinking, you’ll transform yourself from what you were to someone you never imagined you’d be. You’ll go from fearing the roller coaster to running to it!


In my next eletter, I’ll show you a simple tool you can use to help you dominate your mind and start feeling kick ass throughout the day.

It’s Friday!!!

I hope you had a productive week. If not, you’ll receive another seven days next week in which to try again. Let’s be grateful for that.

As you probably know, what happens in our minds is really what determines our life experience. Sure, outside circumstances play a huge part in the way we feel, but there are people in worse circumstances than ours who are still living happy.

What’s their secret? Well, it’s really not a secret. They’ve learned to control their thinking, and if this is something you struggle with, then let me offer a few thoughts for your consideration.

Thoughts Follow Words

When my mind is out of control—which usually happens when I’ve allowed circumstances to overwhelm me—I use my own words to help control and steer my thinking. This is because my mind is always taken captive by whatever it is I’m speaking. That’s why you and I can “get lost” in a conversation with someone. Our minds are taken captive by whatever it is we’re speaking.

If you become intentional about what you say, then you can become intentional about what you think. If you can become intentional about what you think, you can become intentional about how you feel. Your thoughts will follow the direction of your words.

Here’s what I recommend in order to alter your own emotional state. Remember, you’re not lying to yourself by speaking out what you want to believe. You’re simply changing the way you interpret.

1. See your mind as a computer in need of a software change, and delete the idea that your present thoughts are reflective of the real YOU. They are not. Your thoughts are only reflective of how your mind is presently programmed, which is what you’re about to change.

2. Start speaking to yourself what it is you want to believe about yourself. Even though what you’re saying may not be realized in your life at this point, you’re starting the process of personal transformation.

3. When something negative happens—or you have a series of negative thoughts—immediately speak out loud how this can be turned into something positive.

4. Put some emotion behind what you say. Move your body to emphasize the point and put force behind your words. Notice how your emotional state immediately responds.

5. Be consistent. This is difficult when you’re trying to be intentional about something, but if you keep reminding yourself of the benefits, you’ll have a better chance of sticking with it.
What you say becomes what’s on your mind, and what’s on your mind controls the way that you feel. Speak bad ass, think bad ass, and you’ll feel bad ass. Metal up!
