Message from Craig Goldy ... tribute to Ronnie James Dio his friend and mentor....

To all on this very saddening time of year,

Tomorrow will be the 4th Anniversary of our beloved Ronnie’s passing.
I am compelled by a force within that is stronger than my own self…. that leads me to finally do something I have been wanting to do for quite some time now…..I am going to be doing my own personal tribute to Ronnie this year! In fact……tomorrow!

I have had a couple of songs that to say the least…have stirred inside me ever since we lost him……I finally had an opportunity to get them professionally mixed, which paved the way to finally share my way of honoring him! I mentioned at Ronnie's public memorial that I had learned so much by working side by side with him for so many years, that when I did finally write new original material, I would utilize all that I had learned in such a way, that I could only hope that it would've made him proud.

When a very close and personal family member of Ronnie’s heard just the first draft of the songs, they said..."Wow! Ronnie would be proud of you!!" and the second thing was...."Who's that singing?!" This told me that I was on to something that needed to be properly fulfilled!

I have said this before, but, Ronnie was the perfect example of how one man can change the world! He was the first and the last of his kind! I have put it upon myself to try to not only be a part of keeping his memory alive…..but his “Way” alive! He was so good to all of his fans all around the world….and I want to assure you all of at least one thing……that did not die with him! I will try to do all that I can to make sure that anyone who has the slightest bit of love, honor and respect for him…..that I will treat that person and those people the way in which Ronnie himself would see fit!!

I will continue to try to produce and create music that is of the highest quality that I am capable of bringing forth! As that is also what he did…..not just in his musical contributions that now as a direct result of that music…the world is a better place…..but the never ending pursuit of greatness in all things he did…..which seemed to come so easily for him! And it did because of who he was and what he was made of!!!

Tomorrow, a website dedicated to this cause will be ready with more information as this is already too long now! The two new songs of mine will be available for purchased downloads, and for every purchased download, a donation will be made to the charity or cause of the individual downloader’s choice! This will be just one more way in which to honor him, as he gave to so many different people and causes throughout his entire life and career!
