BIOGRAPHYBLACK ROSE is a melodic hard rock/metal band from Sweden.

The debut album "Fortune favours the brave" was released by the Danish label “Bums Records” in 1993.
BLACK ROSE played lots of gigs in Sweden and released a couple of mini-cds and demos during the following years.
A self titled CD was released in 2002 by the German label “Shark Records” and a follow up cd, on the same label, entitled "Explode", was released in 2004.BLACK ROSE released the album "Turn on the night" in 2013 on the Swedish label “Doolittle Group”.
In August 2015 a new singer joined the band, powerhouse vocalist Jakob ”Jacke” Sandberg.
Late 2017 the band signed a record deal with “Sliptrick Records” and released the album “A light in the dark” in April 17 2018.
BLACK ROSE has continuously done lots of live performances.
The band has also been support act to bands like FATE, THE POODLES, MIKE TRAMP, PAIN OF SALVATION, NOCTURNAL RITES and SOUL SIGN (Yngwie-members).
Even gigs as backing band, at different times, for KEE MARCELLO (EUROPE) and JAN JOHANSEN (IGNITION, Swedish Eurovision song contest winner) and JAKOB SAMUEL (THE POODLES) has been done.
The bands style of music has been constant, even through all different music-trends that has come and gone.
Black Rose – A light in the dark
The brand new album ”A light in the dark” contains 10 songs in the melodic hard rock/metal vein.
The trademark sound of Black Rose, built on recognizable distinctive riffs, melodic/catchy and powerful choruses, are even more prominent on this release.
The album covers a wide range of songs, from fast, hard driving songs to mid-paced and heavier songs.
